The Swedish Agency for Higher Education Services’ overall management is overseen by an advisory board which, together with the agency’s Director-General, lead and coordinate operations.
The advisory board is made up of members appointed by the government and consists of 9 members, including a president. The board meets between 4 and 5 times per year. The current board’s assignment is from 1 July 2011 to 31 December 2012.
The board makes decisions in the following areas:
- Annual report, interim reports, budget
- Changes and adjustments based on reports from the Swedish National Audit Office
- The agency’s focus in terms of the goals and guidelines outlined by Parliament and the government
